Timothy Nichols

Tim is a graduate of the Arizona State University School of Business, where he majored in Real Estate Finance and Development.

Since the late 1980s Tim has been passionately serving the Multifamily Housing industry with creativity and flair. Dedicated to the philosophy of owning and operating synergistic boutique businesses within the real estate finance and development industry, Tim is nimble, experienced, and focused, contributing to his being recognized as an industry leader.

Tim has developed numerous senior housing communities with now over 800 units carrying the Gramercy and Summerhill names, totaling over $120 million in project value. The newest additions to the development portfolio includes ventures with Ecumen in 2 need-driven senior housing properties consisting of 284 units branded "The Seasons," totaling over $60 million in project value, awarded winner of the 2010 and 2011 "Best in Real Estate" award for Senior Housing Development.

Tim's knowledge of the development business is enhanced by his savvy in the multifamily finance arena.  Tim co-founded a family-owned multifamily housing lending business with the philosophy of being a boutique real estate financial services company assisting clients with site selection, market analysis, building design, and construction analysis in conjunction with financing. From this, Tim earned a reputation as being much more than a lender; adding value functioning as an essential development partner. To date, Nichols has financed over 200 multifamily projects totaling well over two billion dollars.

Julie Murray

With 18 years of senior housing experience, Julie Murray has been a driving force in the successful expansion of Ecumen’s senior housing offerings since joining the company in 2008.   Julie led the development and redevelopment of many Ecumen projects including Abiitan, Ecumen’s first urban CCRC opening fall 2016 in the Mill District of Minneapolis and the 2011 and 2012 Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal’s “Best in Real Estate” award winners; The Seasons at Maplewood and The Seasons at Apple Valley.  In 2014 Julie led the collaboration with Lifestyle Communities creating OneTwoOne Development Company and the Zvago Cooperative Living Brand.  Zvago currently has five communities under development focusing on walkable, amenity-rich communities for the active senior.  Prior to joining Ecumen, Julie worked for Greystone Communities, Inc. in Dallas, Texas where she was responsible for the sales and marketing of multiple entry-fee continuing care retirement communities as a Regional Director of Sales and Marketing.  Julie is a graduate of Texas Tech University where she received a B.S. in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management and a Masters Certificate in Organizational Leadership from St. Catherine University in St Paul, MN.

Dena Meyer

Dena is a graduate from the College of St. Benedict’s where she achieved her BA of Liberal Studies with a Minor in Spanish. She also studied in Seville, Spain through the University of Wisconsin Platteville.                                                                

Since 1995 Dena has been passionately involved in the Multifamily Housing industry.  Throughout her career, she has actively participated in virtually every area focusing within the Senior Housing Industry - including development, marketing, and management of numerous multi-million dollar market owners occupied 55+ cooperatives and need driven Senior Housing communities.  Her passionate commitment has been ensuring that quality innovative housing is available for those who both want and need an exceptional lifestyle.

From 1995-2014 Dena has been involved in the development, marketing, and management of numerous award winning multifamily housing developments totaling well over $250 Million in Value throughout the Midwest.  

A vital part of the lifestyle at the developments Dena has helped create is the vast highly programmed social space incorporated into the various communities. She has brought a fresh perspective on what senior housing is and how it should be delivered.  The inclusion of a grand entry space, large gathering areas with café/refreshment bar, pub and game rooms, spa/ fitness and wellness center, indoor swimming pools/sauna and whirlpools, barber/beauty salon, movie theatre,  children interactive areas, technology center, reflections center, virtual golf pub area, and gardening rooms have been important components of creating a community. Additionally, restaurants have been incorporated into certain communities.

Dena’s passionate leadership is strategically positioned to capitalize in this growing senior housing industry providing quality, innovative development, marketing and management services to this evolving dynamic sector of the housing marketplace.
